TRAINING TOGETHER TO BETTER PROTECT THE NORTH

Approximately 700 military members from the Canadian Armed Forces, the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, and the United States Air National Guard braved the beginning of the Canadian winter during the VS16 NORAD Field Training Exercise in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and 5 Wing Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador from October 15 to 26, 2015.

New NORAD Deputy Commander hosts this year’s Canada Day Celebrations in Colorado Springs

Celebrating Canada Day in Colorado Springs has been a longstanding tradition in the region. Each July 1st the NORAD Deputy Commander and senior Canadian military officer in the United States hosts more than 400 guests to honor Canada’s birth and share Canadian culture with Canadian Armed Forces personnel, their families, U.S. military partners and local leaders.

NORAD, USNORTHCOM and the Mexican Air Force to participate in AMALGAM EAGLE 15

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), will participate, with the Mexican Air Force, in AMALGAM EAGLE 15, a tactical exercise, to be conducted Jun.30 - Jul.2, 2015, in which Mexico and the United States will respond to an illegal flight transiting the border of both countries. AMALGAM EAGLE 15 is designed to enhance air control procedures between both countries and lay the foundation to streamline a bi-national response.
