Canadian Air Defence Sector introduces new cloud-based command-and-control system

Eastern Air Defense Sector rolls out new cloud-based command-and-control system

The North American Aerospace Defense Command’s Eastern Air Defense Sector performed the initial operating capability rollout of the Advanced Battle Management System’s Cloud-Based Command and Control system, or CBC2, in front of Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall and leaders from NORAD, U.S. Northern Command, Joint Staff, Royal Canadian Air Force and Office of the Secretary of Defense.

On Apr. 25, 2023, the Western Air Defense Sector's 225th Air Defense Squadron tested a unique concept that integrates rapidly deployable communications capabilities to create agility in a theater that is at the top of the National Defense Strategy's goals sheet – the Homeland.
