PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.- The Canadian Chief of Defense Staff General Tom Lawson and the Canadian Forces Chief Warrant Officer, Chief Warrant Officer Kevin West shake hands with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Deputy Commander, Lieutenant-General Alain Parent and Gen. William L. Shelton, Commander, Air Force Space Command, during their arrival at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.  The purpose of the visit was to meet with NORAD Commander General Jacoby, Deputy Commander Lieutenant-General Parent and other senior leaders in order to gain additional insight into and appreciation of the Commands' unique missions, capabilities and advancement in the previous year and understand critical issues facing NORAD and USNORTHCOM in today's security environment.
