NEW YORK CITY – Brig. Gen. Richard Scobee accepts the Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the PRSA's Ms. Tanya Maria Morah, Associate Professor of Communications at Wilberforce University. The 2012 ceremony was held at the AXA Equitable Tower in New York City. The Silver Anvil Awards are the "Emmy Awards" of the Public Relations industry and recognize outstanding strategic public relations programs. NORAD Tracks Santa competed in the category of Branding/Reputation Management. NORAD Tracks Santa was recognized for how it has made NORAD a household name, and for how it has reinforced the image of NORAD as a prestigious, widely known, brand that monitors the skies for all threats as it defends the homeland.
