Peterson Air Force Base –
Gen. Darren McDew, USTRANSCOM commander, visited NORAD and USNORTHCOM June 29, 2016, to welcome Gen. Lori Robinson, the new commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, and to discuss her vision for the two commands. The two commanders also discussed their shared equities between their commands regarding military air transportation and Defense Support of Civil Authorities.
USTRANSCOM is a unified, functional combatant command which provides support to the eight other U.S. combatant commands, the military services, defense agencies and other government organizations.
