NORAD and USNORTHCOM headquarters building to be named after Royal Canadian and U.S. Air Force generals

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - The NORAD and USNORTHCOM headquarters building at Peterson Air Force Base will be renamed the Eberhart-Findley Building in honor of U.S. Air Force General (Ret.) Ralph E. Eberhart and Royal Canadian Air Force Lieutenant-General (Ret.) Eric A. Findley during U.S. Northern Command’s 10-year anniversary commemoration ceremony on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at 2 p.m. This is the first time the name of a U.S. military combatant command headquarters will include a Canadian military officer’s name.

The commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, Gen. Charles H. Jacoby Jr., as well as Gen. (Ret.) Eberhart and LGen (Ret.) Findley, will be available after the ceremony for questions.
