PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Canadian and American hockey players who work at the North American Aerospace Defense Command will be participating in a charity hockey tournament in Littleton, CO this weekend in support of the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer foundation.
Team NORAD, mainly comprised of Canadian military personnel posted to NORAD Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO, will play in the Quest For The Crown 3, an annual hockey tournament played during the height of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.
"We are really excited to have a NORAD hockey team playing in our Quest for the Crown charity hockey tournament for the first time," said Justin Goldman, Founder and Owner of The Hockey Guild. "We're also proud that NORAD will set up a booth so that we can all learn more about one of the most important military organizations on this continent. It has been a pleasure getting to know some of the members from NORAD and learning about their extensive hockey community and we are excited to meet the players during the Quest!"
The Quest for the Crown charity hockey festival is an annual event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer foundation, as well as local hockey players and families impacted by the deadly disease. The event, which was founded in 2007, has grown each year, from 26 to 32 teams, and now 34 teams for Quest 3. You can learn more about the Quest and the event’s mission statement at
