PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — Individual tickets are now available for North American Aerospace Defense Command’s 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Ball.
The ball will be held May 12, 2008, at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., and will feature a formal evening of dinner, entertainment, dancing and retrospectives as the command celebrates a 50-year partnership between Canada and the United States in defending North America.
The evening will start with a reception at 6 p.m. with dinner following at 7 p.m. in Broadmoor Hall. Dress is black tie for civilians and mess dress for military members.
The ball is open to the general public in addition to active duty military members and Department of Defense civilians. Tickets are on sale through April 1. Costs per ticket are as follows:
• General public: $140
• Active duty military members and DoD civilians:
-- E-1 to E-7/Pay Band 1: $25
-- E-8 to O-4/Pay Band 2: $45
-- O-5 and Above/Pay Band 3: $80

The NORAD 50th Anniversary celebration is an occasion to reflect on the history of the command, honor the strong bi-national relationship between Canada and the United States, pay tribute to the valor of the men and women who serve, and to recognize the command’s evolution in response to new and changing threats to North America.
